You hit the nail on the head with one word "trust". Never a JW but the victim of both childhood and spouse abuse I find it extremely hard to "trust" people. It takes me a long time before I will finally actually say I trust someone.

Never a JW. Not knowing any of the rules at the time. I just sent the "Elder " an email. Subject line read: Roasted Toasted Deep Fried and BBQ then the first line of the email said I have the address of 3 local KH either answer all these questions or I am headed to one of them, I will have an Elder explain all your emails and you to me.

That was my shepherding call sorta.

Reading The Bible Again After Leaving

but anyway i decided to re-read the bible with a non jw filter.. i researched online first which is supposed to be the best translation out there.

So then all these Religions and the Bible and other Holy books are created by MEN correct and not inspired by God as they would like you to believe?

BTW, never a JW, just gave up on religion after catching far to many an Elder and minister in affairs and lying.

For the record I believe in a loving and caring God, not in the Bible and I am very spiritual.

Can’t cope with being disfellowshipped…..Need some advice

this site is great, i have been lurking for a while now.

but i can’t get reinstated and have used some of the advice already given.. i was df’d many months ago and go to all the meetings and do all the preparation for the meetings, but the jc committee keep refusing me.

tomorrow at the clam meeting i am puting yet another letter in and will be called for another dreadful jc meeting.. 1. what can i say to the elders to show that i am truly repentant?.

There are many churches that treat women and children like human beings. Some people believe there is a loving and caring God. Not everyone has to give up on God like you.

You could show a little tiny bit of respect for other people's beliefs occasionally especially when they show up on the forum hurting.

That is absolutely beautiful. As a believer of a loving God but not Religion nor the Bible, I worship God through music and the opportunities for magnificent Christian music is never ending. There are some amazing voices and talented musicians.

How shameful the Watchtower kills this creativity in their youngsters.

I was also never a JW and I left religion behind at the age of 50 but I still have a strong belief in a loving God. You are correct these are CRIMES committed by humans just as all those crimes many an Elder will hide against any child or woman via child abuse or wife abuse in any Kingdom Hall then justify it by saying 2 witness rule or wife submissive according to that fairytale book written written by some men claiming it was so inspired by God. At the same time there are how many Religions that claim their religion has that magical one book that has the one God, they all cannot be right! Then you have those who claim there is no God and the list goes on. Then you have all the medical mental diagnosis to blame everything on.

How often today do you hear someone say "I take the blame for......, I did it." No, it has to be blamed on some body or something. On this forum it is God or some mental disorder. I am a survivor of child abuse and spouse abuse and I lost a son, never once did I blame My Loving God he walked with me and kept me strong as I endured these struggles and made me a much stronger person.

These criminal and those hiding the criminal need to be brought to justice and made to pay for their crimes against humanity.
